Acupuncture
Q: Do needles hurt?
A: Sometimes. The needles you will receive are extremely thin and
will occasionally cause some discomfort. They are immediately
disposed of once they are removed. You can also receive a more
subtle form of non-insertion acupuncture called Toyo Hari. These
needles are only placed on the surface of the skin and do not cause any
discomfort. Clients that have a fear of needles and children get
great results with this kind of acupuncture.
Q: Does insurance
cover acupuncture?
A: Many insurance providers cover a significant portion of your treatment session
costs. Please check with your insurer for their acupuncture
reimbursement policy and requirements for referral and limits on illnesses
they cover. Many of my clients value the results they receive and decide to
pay out of their own pocket.
Q: What kind of
research has been done on the effectiveness of acupuncture?
A: NIH is performing several studies to document the efficacy of
acupuncture in treating multiple illnesses. Many articles on the
efficacy of acupuncture are available on NIH's website
http://nccam.nih.gov/health/acupuncture/.
Q: What are the
training requirements for practicing acupuncture?
A: Our training consisted of three years of study and clinical experience
at a Masters Degree Program at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute.
We have also received certificates in Chinese herbal medicine, and other
forms of acupuncture. Many states require graduating from a
certified institution or passing a national exam.
Q: Do you treat
children with acupuncture?
A: Yes. Children respond very well to the non-insertion style of
acupuncture called Toyo Hari. They
receive benefit are often intrigued by the adjunct treatment methods of cupping, gentle
rubbing, and moxibustion.
Q: How do you combine
the different modalities of Sufi Spiritual Healing, acupuncture, and Craniosacral
Technique?
A: Yes. As you receive from your Highest Source, acupuncture opens
blocks to the flow of healing and enhances how deeply you receive.
Craniosacral Technique helps to release the holding of tension in the
body, clears painful emotions, and provides a deeply nurturing support for
your session.

Q: What is Sufi
Spiritual Healing?
A: Sufi Spiritual Healing helps you to receive what you need from your
Highest Source of Healing. Many clients have experienced significant
or the permanent relief of their illness or symptoms through this form or
healing. You will discover in the depth of your heart is the key for
opening and receiving the Highest Healing. We offer a safe, powerful, and
guiding support which enables the Highest Healing to work deeply
throughout
you.
Q: How does Sufi
Spiritual Healing help me with my illness or issues?
A: As you receive the Highest Healing support, you will quickly identify
and heal the core issues in your illness or challenge. You may also
receive insights that will open a wiser understanding of your situation,
illustrate the most effective steps for healing, and increase your hope
for your future. Your physical, emotional, and mental struggles will
change as you receive more and more.
Q: How long do I
need to come for treatment?
A: That depends upon your goals for healing. You may see significant
changes in as little as one or two sessions. For longer term chronic
problems, we recommend working weekly for at least six weeks for
significant changes.
Q: Do I need to be
on a spiritual path for this to work?
A: You do not need to be on a spiritual path for this to work. Many
of our clients who receive tremendous benefits do not follow a religious or
spiritual tradition. You just need an openness to receive from a
Higher Source and a willingness to sense and experience what is happening
in your situation.
Q: How long does a
session last?
A: The initial session will last approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours. The
first half of the session will consist of understanding your goals for
healing, asking relevant questions about the details of your situation or
illness, and answering any questions you may have. The second half
of the session will be helping you to receive your Highest Healing support
in your specific concern or illness. Subsequent sessions last 1
hour.
Q: What will I feel
during my session?
A: What you will feel will be different from session to session
because what you need and what the Highest Source gives is different each
time. As you receive your Highest Healing support, you may
experience the release of long held emotions and feel much lighter and
joyful. You may also experience a deep peace, relaxation, and a release of
troubling thoughts or sensations. Sometimes you may experience an
increased warmth and sensations of movement in your body. You may have
a sense the subtle healing support you are
receiving. You may also have an instant recognition of the deep truth of
the challenge you are working with.
