"I was literally eating a half gallon
of ice cream every 2 days."
I was very frustrated with my ferocious drive to eat ice cream, pudding and cake upon waking up in the morning and through the rest of the day. I was unhappy with myself for having no will power to change these eating habits. I felt lonely and isolated. I purposely ate in private, out of shame. I couldn't let anyone see what I was doing to myself.
I attended Penelope's workshop. I had mixed feelings. You see, as I drove to the workshop I ate a quart of ice cream. (Seems crazy doesn't it?)
Penelope could tell that I was distracted and unhappy. She encouraged me to believe in myself and have faith that things would change. Even though I was thinking about leaving, I stayed. Other exercises were better and more hopeful. I felt a new energy developing... even if ever so slightly.
